You may have a business plan but do you have an entrepreneurship plan? Many of us start businesses to do something we love, only to become business owners in the process. Now we’re performing business functions like marketing, bookkeeping, dealing with contracts, providing customer service… How much of that entrepreneurial freedom are we keeping for ourselves and the pursuit of the dreams that brought us here?
Vision casting for entrepreneurs is strategic planning hidden within a layered cake. Sweet and fluffy icing, lovely colors and designs, but absolutely no mistake that this is the roadmap to your goals as a business owner and entrepreneur. Without life, there is nothing, so take a new approach to defining your entrepreneurial efforts through the lens of vision casting.

I woke up sick this morning and felt guilty about calling out of work at my new job. I sat down to write and see if I could figure out where this self-abuse stems from. This article doesn’t solve my cold or the fact that my brain wouldn’t work today even if I forced it to — it did give me insight into another option, though: Taking the advice I would give others in this situation.
Small businesses, entrepreneurs, freelancers, artists, makers, and performers have seen their businesses all but disappear during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic. In this blog post, I go into detail about the CARES Act, recently passed in Congress, that provides emergency funding options for small businesses and all individuals whose primary compensation comes from self-employed work. Download my one-page quick start guide to funding eligibility, preparation, and application to keep your business running today!
Employers are still keeping employees at work and considering furlough, layoffs, and other “solutions” to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic that leave employees jobless or without income. Instead of waiting for the axe to fall, I’ve put together a guide to help you proactively advocate for yourself and your team members to work from home. Apps, steps, considerations, and step-by-step “How to Telework” guidance from my six years as a remote worker, manager, and leader.

This year, my intuition called for radical change.
Doing this “Year-in-Review” activity helps to represence all the incredible things that occurred this year - all in one place. I asked myself, What did you lean into and give your time and attention? What results did you see from your efforts? Who did you connect with? Where did you go? The answers to these questions, found by racking my memory, re-reading my journals, and flipping through the year’s photos on my hard drive, paint the picture of a year well-lived.

Each year, I practice vision casting as the anchor of my planning season. With every vision comes a theme, something I’d like to cultivate more of in myself and in my daily life. This year’s theme is Listen and in this post, I dive into my process, inspiration, and outlook for 2022.
Since 2016, I have selected a “theme,” an intentional declaration of what I’d like to cultivate more of in my state of being. In the past, I have chosen Ritual, Consistent, Grace, Authenticity, and Patience. This year, my theme is Faith, and with this I include a quote from Kahlil Gibran (which can be seen on my vision board). This post is about my 10-year journey to reclaiming my dreams, my belief in myself, and ultimately, my faith.
This year, as I prepare for 2021, I find planning season to be more intimidating and daunting than ever. So, I’m taking a look at what has been feeling this way to get to the root of what’s keeping me from one of my favorite yearly traditions.
A peek into my "set it and forget it" lifestyle.
This may be the first time I admit this but here we go: I'm a sporadic creative. If I don't set myself up for success, I will inevitably fail. Some mornings I wake up completely unable to make decisions, comprehensively organize projects, or manage communications. On these mornings I make mistakes. I miss deadlines. Calls that were supposed to take place get missed and apology emails go out after I've already let someone down.
Read on for activities you can implement in your own life to "set and forget" the actions to take to bring make your 2018 priorities your reality!
